Training Overview

“On my arrival at Ambleside I was interviewed by Miss Mason who asked me for what purpose I had come. I replied: “I have come to learn to teach”. Then Miss Mason said: “My dear, you have come here to learn to live” (The story of Charlotte Mason, Essex Cholmondley, p. 69).

Ambleside Schools International offers several opportunities for training in Charlotte Mason’s Principles and their application to the classroom and to all of life. Many teachers, school administrators, and other private individuals have found training at Ambleside to be a life changing event, both professionally and personally.

Instructing educators is key to ASI's mission, as we believe that the relationship between the teacher and the child is central to Charlotte Mason method. In training teacher, we apply the approach that we use in the classroom, so that trainees will experience the method for themselves and be inspired and freed by the ideas presented.
