Starting New Schools
If you are interested in having an Ambleside school in your community, Ambleside Schools International is available to help.
The first step is to attend an
Ambleside Internship, which provides the personal experience of an Ambleside education. As the process continues, ASI will offer assistance in building a community of interested persons, identifying and training potential leadership.
In order to help a new Ambleside school become a reality, ASI will provide:
- Full use of the Ambleside School Curriculum and free yearly updates
- Schedules, handbooks, student reports and other pedagogical tools
- Training and mentoring of the principal
- On-going training of teachers
- Annual on-site visits for training, assistance with quality control and consulting
- Assistance in the selection of a new principal and teachers when requested
- Assistance with the initial promotion of the school (consulting, speaking) when requested
- Free use of the ASI trademark, marketing and management and administrative tools
- Relationships with other schools committed to Charlotte Mason’s principles and the Ambleside Method to benefit from a variety of expertise.
Fees: As a non-profit organization, Ambleside School International seeks to maximize its service rather than its profit. However, the charging of reasonable fees for service is essential for the accomplishment of its mission.
