Serving Existing Schools
Ambleside Schools International seeks to assist existing schools better understand and implement Charlotte Mason’s principles. Interested schools have the option of sending teachers to an
Ambleside Internships, contracting with ASI to provide on-site training, or consulting with ASI regarding implementation of Charlotte Mason’s principles.
As a school grows in its commitment to these principles and in its understanding of the Ambleside Method, ASI offers existing schools the opportunity to become full members of the Ambleside Community of Schools. Membership requires compliance with the
Ambleside Community of Schools Minimum Requirements. It is expected that committed schools take a period two to four years to come into compliance with these requirements, and the ASI staff is available to assist in this process.
Members of Ambleside Community of School receive the following benefits:
- Full use of the Ambleside School Curriculum and free yearly updates
- Schedules, handbooks, student reports and other pedagogical tools
- Training and mentoring of the principal
- On-going training of teachers
- Annual on-site visits for training, assistance with quality control and consulting
- Assistance in the selection of new principals and teachers when requested
- Assistance with the initial promotion of the school (consulting, speaking) when requested
- Free use of the ASI trademark, marketing and management and administrative tools
- Relationships with other schools committed to Charlotte Mason’s principles and the Ambleside Method to benefit from a variety of expertise.
Fees: As a non-profit organization, Ambleside School International seeks to maximize its service rather than its profit. However, the charging of reasonable fees for service is essential for the accomplishment of its mission
